“Isolation” is an abstract urban cityscape painting by contemporary artist Teale Hatheway. In it, a beautiful, glowing lantern is seen casting light from behind a high hedge. Teale chose the subject of lamp posts as way to share a sense of optimistic interconnectedness with the world around her through the expression of beauty, history and public spaces. This pop-art styled artwork is composed entirely of fragmented, visual elements of assorted city street lights utilizing hand cut stencils made from drawings, aerosol paint and metal leaf on translucent acrylic sheet. The mixed media painting can be displayed individually or in clusters and can be mounted against a wall, hung away from a wall or suspended from a ceiling.

This is a turquoise and red, original acrylic and metal leaf painting on cold pressed, heavy-weight paper. It was composed using hand cut stencils and was sprayed with aerosol paint. The gilded lantern reflects light and gives the impression the light is "turned on."
