This is an original acrylic and metal leaf painting on birch panel. It was composed using hand cut stencils of street lanterns in Los Angeles' Chinatown, and was finished with hand drawn details. The copper background reflects a soft, warm light and the edge is painted a deep, contrasting blue.
The pieces in this series are small and varied in both shape and size. They can hang in any direction and are most often collected and hung in clusters.
