That's right! I can sculpt too! Blue Betty was a promotional commission for Monster Hunter Tri. Approximately 7’ x 4’ x 4’, I designed her from rough images from the client, sculpted, painted, resin-coated and bolted her into the bed of a pickup truck.

I was wondering if you have any work in progress shots of this lovely beast? I am desperately curious to see how she was made :D

Hi Katie. Thanks for your inquiry! I do not have any process shots online, but suffice it to say she was sculpted from (if I recall correctly, 2 lb.) gray foam - working from good drawings, the trick is to rough in the profiles on your block of foam and then dial in the details from there. I then resin coated her, then painted her, then resin, then paint. The glazes of color and resin give the translucent glow.
