I'm delighted to be included in the annual Cityscape group show opening this evening at George Billis Gallery in Culver City. I have twelve mixed media paintings included in the exhibition! There are a number of art gallery openings in the walk-able area, so make an evening of it! Get there early, nab parking, have a cocktail and dinner. You can smell the ocean from Culver City...

I always find beauty in things that are odd and imperfect - they are much more interesting. -Marc Jacobs
All the photo taking, documenting and editing or art is finally coming to fruition! A new online portfolio of my recent paintings can be found here:
Ranging in size form 6"x6" to 8"x16", these pieces are abstracted from elements of stencils I hand cut, exhibiting the details of existing and historic street lights. Los Angeles is obscurely acknowledged for it's world class collection of historic street lights which are indicative of neighborhoods and communities throughout the city. Abstracting the stencils and working in vibrant, layered colors was a playful experiment for me and I love the elegant and urban results which hang in any number of arrangements. I hang them differently every time! They will be up in my shop soon, but in the mean time, you can contact me for purchase inquiries. Enjoy!
Living the Dream
For me, being an artist is more than painting alone in my studio. I am inspired by other artists, off-beat adventures and spectacle. I curate exhibitions, collaborate on large public art installations, am an occasional color consultant and interior designer and sometimes I sculpt. I seem to do a lot of writing, but that's just business. I live an art-filled life. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
